Students enrolled in HerbergerOnline courses are required to have access to a computer with the following minimum requirements:
A 56K or better connection to the Internet. Cable Modem or DSL recommended. AOL users are required to use AOL version 7.0 or higher
You are required to use an email account that is registered to your name for all course correspondence. Do not use a parent or friends email account.
Some of the readings for the courses are PDF files and require a .pdf reader. Some Macs with OSX come with a built in .pdf reader. Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free download for both PC and Mac and can be found here: http://www.adobe.com.
Some courses have lectures and portions of assignments that require the playing of sound and/or video files. You will need to assure that you have an audio and/or video playing software installed on your computer. You are welcome to use the media player(s) you prefer. However the latest version of Quicktime plays both the .mp4 video clips as well as the .mp3 format used for audio lectures and sound clips. This is the player we recommend if someone is having difficulty.
For exams containing audio clips we use the .swf format. Which requires the Flash Player plugin. Be sure you have the latest flash player installed, if you need to check if your player is compatible, please use the link below.
